The shift to green aviation is well underway in Sweden. Biofuels are perfectly suitable to replace conventional aviation fuel and the first electrical regional aircraft is set to be introduced for domestic routes in 2026. But that’s not all.
Drones are playing a new role in society and Sweden’s ten airports, operated by Swedavia, are already the most sustainable in the world.
According to Ulf Rudebark, aviation expert at Business Sweden, and Maria Fiskerud, Sustainability Manager at BRA, electric aviation is not the challenge. It’s all about ensuring that the infrastructure on the ground can keep up with change.
