Swedish companies based in the US are facing unprecedented challenges triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic – but the long-term view shows there is light at the end of the tunnel. Business Sweden surveyed over 100 Swedish companies with a presence in the US to understand what actions they have taken to be able to continue operating, maintain supply chains, and counteract negative revenues.
While most companies have mitigated the impacts of the pandemic Swedish companies are still concerned with nearly 70% of respondents anticipating business to be negatively impacted in the next 12 months. The ongoing challenges of protectionist policies and shifting supply chains are contributing to uncertainty but by adopting to the new normal, there are still opportunities to be leveraged.
