At Frödinge, we put every ounce of our heart and soul into our work, and we sure do hope that you can taste and feel that in the delicious products that we make. We are immensely proud of our heritage, and we care a lot about the environment and our raw materials. That is why we source pretty much all our dairy from local farmers, and any left-overs from the factory are taken care of, and a lot of it is actually turned into animal feed.
In Sweden, we are probably most well-known for our Swedish cheesecake. This is not to be mixed up with the more internationally common version of a cheesecake (which we of course love as well). Instead, this is a totally unique product that has been around for many years in Sweden. In fact, we still use the same recipe as we did back in 1955 when it all started. Why fix something that isn’t broken, right?
Nowadays, Frödinge is a common household name in Sweden, and truly a life-saver when it comes to putting an extra tasty touch to your celebrations. It doesn’t matter if it is Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, your birthday, graduation, wedding, Midsummer, or any other festive occasion. With Frödinge on the dessert table, there is no need for you to go through all the fuss of making a tasty and beautiful cake. Let us handle dessert, so that you can enjoy the party.
We offer a great range of traditional Swedish cakes such as Princess cake – a creamy marzipan cake that combines layers of vanilla icing and raspberry jam with moist sponge cake. And lots of whipped cream, of course. Or why not try the popular Strawberry Cake – a sumptuous and fluffy cream cake with two layers of moist sponge cake, vanilla icing and strawberry jam. With plenty of whole strawberries on top. Not to mention the Chocolate Mud Cake – yet another classic dessert in Sweden. Add a big dollop of whipped cream, and you will think you have tasted a piece of heaven.
Frödinge offers you a great range of cakes, desserts and pastries, and they are popular on an international level as well. For example, you might find them onboard certain airplanes when you are travelling to and from the Nordics. And in Germany we offer a specific range of desserts that we have adapted for the local taste of that market. We won’t bore you with details, but how does creamy chocolate and dreamy hazelnut, all mixed up into one cake, sound…?
We could go on forever, tempting you with detailed descriptions of our desserts, but we believe it is better if you taste them yourselves the next time you are in the mood for a Swedish “fika”.
