The North-South high-speed railway is a major infrastructure project in Vietnam aiming to connect Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with a modern railway system boasting speeds of up to 350 km/h.

  • The project is divided into two phases:
    • Phase 1: This phase focuses on two sections – Hanoi to Vinh (283 km) and Nha Trang to Ho Chi Minh City (207 km). This phase intends to construct from 2027 to 2031, budget about 24.72 billion USD.
    • Phase 2: This phase will connect Vinh to Nha Trang (650 km). This phase intends to finish in 2050 with budget about 34 billion USD.
