In Taiwan, the focus of the value chain lies not in competing on quantity, but rather on quality and applications, as well as the development of materials for the next generation of batteries. Due to limited natural resources, Taiwan places significant emphasis on energy storage to ensure the resilience of its energy supply infrastructure. Given their specialized specifications, battery companies in Taiwan must collaborate closely with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This collaboration opens up opportunities for integration, modules, software, and applications in the electrification of transportation, vehicles, tooling, and heavy machinery.
